XRP's price climbed to a session high of $1.10 on Tuesday before retreating, as a combination of renewed ETF inflows and institutional adoption news supported buying interest. The token's recent recovery has been capped by persistent technical resistance, but market participants are now watching for a potential breakout above the $1.13 level.

ETF inflows turn positive

According to SoSoValue data, US spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded net inflows of $584,000 on July 29, snapping a three-day outflow streak. The following day, inflows jumped to roughly $6 million, marking a notable acceleration. Despite these positive flows, the figures remain modest compared to XRP's daily spot trading volume of about $1.26 billion.

UNI Surges 18% Weekly as Token Burns and New Launches Feature Drive Demand
UNI climbed 18% this week, breaking above $4 on Uniswap's new token discovery hub and ongoing buyback burns. RSI remains neutral, leaving room for further gains.

The renewed inflows helped XRP maintain positive weekly momentum for a third consecutive week, even as traders used the rally to lock in profits near resistance.

Institutional adoption boost

Adding to the bullish narrative, Aviva Investors, a UK asset manager with approximately $350 billion in assets under management, announced plans to launch a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. The fund, approved by the Central Bank of Ireland, will offer eligible investors regulated exposure to short-term US dollar debt instruments via public blockchain infrastructure. Securitize/Licuido will provide tokenization infrastructure, while Komainu handles digital asset custody alongside BNY Mellon's traditional custody services.

This development extends the XRP Ledger's utility beyond payments and digital asset transfers, potentially attracting institutional interest. The announcement coincided with the activation of the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment on the network on July 29.

Regulatory overhang persists

Market participants continue to monitor the US regulatory landscape, particularly the status of the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act. The legislation, which was pushed back to September, remains unresolved, and any further delays could keep regulatory concerns at the forefront for institutional investors seeking digital asset exposure.

Technical analysis: resistance ahead

On the daily chart, XRP is trading near $1.08, below all major exponential moving averages (EMAs): the 20-day EMA at $1.0949, the 50-day EMA at $1.1280, the 100-day EMA at $1.2116, and the 200-day EMA at $1.4079. This bearish alignment suggests that buyers have yet to regain control of the broader trend.

However, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) has stabilized around 43.14 billion after a prolonged decline, indicating that selling pressure has eased even though sustained accumulation has not yet emerged.

The 4-hour chart shows a more balanced picture. The MACD has turned slightly positive after the MACD line crossed above the signal line, suggesting improving short-term momentum, though the histogram remains shallow. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering near 48.7, just below the neutral 50 level, indicating that neither buyers nor sellers hold a decisive advantage.

Key levels to watch

Liquidation data from CoinGlass highlights the next areas of potential volatility. The largest concentration of short liquidation liquidity sits between $1.09 and $1.10, overlapping with the 20-day EMA and the resistance zone that rejected XRP's latest advance. A sustained move through that area could trigger additional liquidations and open the door to a test of the 50-day EMA near $1.13.

If buyers manage to establish support above $1.13, attention would turn toward the $1.14-$1.20 region, which analysts have identified as the area needed to shift XRP's medium-term technical structure from corrective to bullish.

On the downside, support is clustered between $1.07 and $1.06, matching the range that absorbed selling during the recent pullback. Losing that area would expose XRP to another test of $1.05, and a failure to hold there could bring the psychologically important $1.00 level back into focus.

For now, XRP appears to be consolidating within a defined range, with the outcome likely depending on whether buyers can overcome the overhead resistance.
