KuCoin has rolled out a broad platform upgrade, branded KuCoin 5.0, that touches trading, asset management, and the overall user experience. The exchange said the release is part of a global brand initiative called "Trust, Built-in," which extends its earlier "Trust First. Trade Next." positioning.
The company framed the update as an effort to knit together functions that had previously operated as separate products. Six areas are covered: compliance, technology, assets, user experience, artificial intelligence, and wealth management. Rather than spotlighting a single feature, KuCoin said the goal is a more connected platform.
What changed for users
The most visible changes are on the interface side. A redesigned Profile Center 2.0 uses card-based layouts to surface account details and frequently used tools. The sub-account system has been streamlined for faster creation and management, with added security controls. Enhanced K-line charts now carry more trading tools and real-time data, and chart settings sync across devices.
KuCoin also introduced a color vision accessibility mode so that charts and other visual elements are easier to distinguish. The exchange cited an estimate that roughly 360 million people worldwide have some degree of difficulty telling colors apart. Separate Lite and Pro interfaces remain available for users with different experience levels and trading needs.
Unified Trading Account for VIP1 and above
For eligible users with more advanced requirements, KuCoin 5.0 introduces the Unified Trading Account (UTA), open to those at VIP1 tier and higher. UTA places spot, margin, and futures trading inside a shared framework for fund allocation, margin, and risk management. According to KuCoin, this cuts down on the need to shuttle funds between separate accounts and lets users manage capital across eligible products from one account structure.
AI Assistant moves to version 5.x
The platform's AI Assistant has been upgraded to version 5.x, with a single interface for conversations, questions, and task completion across the exchange. It spans market insights, Earn products, trading, customer support, and campaigns. KuCoin said the assistant draws on page context and user activity to interpret requests, suggest relevant services, and help users finish tasks.
Closer ties between earning and trading
The release also links wealth management more tightly to trading. Additions include more wealth management products and VIP benefits, Earn access through sub-accounts, and support for selected wealth management assets inside UTA. Main accounts and sub-accounts can take part in Earn while keeping fund management separate. KuCoin added that KCUSD can serve as margin within UTA, reducing the need to move funds back and forth between earning products and trading accounts.
"Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works," said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin. He described KuCoin 5.0 as a step toward translating the company's long-term commitment to trust into the product itself, giving users more confidence and control while laying groundwork for the next stage of digital finance.
The user-facing changes sit alongside continued work on KuCoin's compliance, technology, and asset infrastructure. The exchange said the six areas addressed by the upgrade are meant to deliver a more integrated platform while preserving flexibility in how users access its services. KuCoin characterized the release as a foundation for future development, bringing trading, asset management, and AI-based services into a more connected experience.
