Tron's native token TRX is trading around $0.32 on Friday, struggling to breach the key $0.33 resistance level. Despite a positive development in the network's payment infrastructure, broader cryptocurrency market sentiment remains cautious due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which continue to weigh on risk assets.

While easing US inflation has improved the macroeconomic backdrop, the cautious mood has capped TRX's upside. Technical indicators show a neutral-to-bullish bias, but the token has repeatedly failed to break above the 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages (EMAs) near $0.328 and $0.327, respectively.

Gasless USDT Transfers Fuel Network Growth

One of Tron's most significant recent innovations is its gasless transaction feature for Tether (USDT) transfers. Traditionally, users must hold TRX to pay network fees when sending USDT on the Tron blockchain. Without a TRX balance, recipients cannot move their tokens until they acquire enough TRX to cover transaction costs.

Gasless transactions eliminate this barrier by allowing a third-party sponsor to pay the blockchain fee, deducting a small amount directly from the USDT being transferred. This creates a smoother user experience and lowers the barrier to adoption.

According to CryptoQuant, demand for Tron's gasless payment system has grown rapidly. Weekly gasless USDT transfer volume climbed to approximately $2.9 billion during the final week of June, compared with nearly zero during the same period a year earlier. The network also recorded an all-time weekly high of roughly $3 billion in the first week of May, significantly exceeding the previous peak of $1.9 billion recorded in 2025.

The sharp increase suggests that users are increasingly embracing gasless payments for stablecoin transfers on the Tron blockchain. This trend is turning stablecoin liquidity into infrastructure for apps, businesses, and AI agents, moving Tron beyond simple peer-to-peer transfers.

Technical Outlook: Resistance Holds Firm

Despite improving network activity, TRX continues to face technical resistance. The token is currently trading just above its 100-day EMA near $0.327 and the 50-day EMA at $0.328. These levels have repeatedly prevented buyers from extending the recent recovery in recent days.

A decisive breakout above these levels would strengthen the short-term bullish outlook. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains slightly above the zero line with a modest positive histogram, indicating that bullish momentum has not completely faded. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering at 56, just above the neutral 50, reflecting balanced trading conditions without signs of excessive buying pressure.

If bullish momentum continues, traders will likely focus on the key resistance level at $0.33. A successful break above this level could signal the beginning of a stronger recovery. On the downside, the bears could look to retest the $0.322 support level in the near term. Failure to defend this support could expose TRX to the 200-day EMA at $0.320. A sustained move below the $0.320 support zone could trigger a deeper correction and weaken the broader bullish structure.
