Casper (CSPR) has climbed more than 5% over the past 24 hours, reaching approximately $0.00165, according to CoinGecko data. The move comes as fresh exchange access, renewed attention on upcoming network upgrades, and improving technical conditions draw buyers back to the token.

Kraken Listing and Roadmap Updates Fuel Interest

A key catalyst is Kraken's recent decision to open CSPR trading to US customers, providing retail and institutional investors with a regulated venue to trade the token using fiat pairs. While the listing did not trigger an immediate breakout, trading activity has increased in the days since launch as more US users gain access.

XRP Slides as Senate Delays CLARITY Act Vote, Adding Regulatory Uncertainty
XRP dropped to $1.05 after the Senate delayed the CLARITY Act vote, removing a key regulatory catalyst. The token recovered to $1.08 as ETF inflows absorbed selling pressure.

Retail interest has also risen elsewhere. CSPR appeared on CoinGecko's trending cryptocurrencies list on Monday, exposing the token to a broader audience as its price moved higher. Additionally, non-custodial exchange Exolix added support for cross-chain CSPR swaps, allowing users to trade the token across multiple blockchains. Exolix highlighted Casper as a network built for enterprise applications, real-world asset tokenization, and machine commerce.

Beyond exchange activity, community discussion has centered on the Casper Manifest roadmap, which outlines several changes planned for Casper 2.0. These include native Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, support for x402 AI agent micropayments, and the transition to the Zug consensus protocol. According to Casper's documentation, Zug replaces the Highway consensus mechanism with a deterministic design that allows skipped consensus rounds during network interruptions while giving validators more control over block production. The roadmap also introduces native token burning and maintains Casper's focus on enterprise blockchain use cases and tokenized real-world assets.

Technical Analysis: Recovery or Relief Rally?

While the recent rally has improved short-term sentiment, the daily chart suggests traders may need additional confirmation before calling the move a full trend reversal. CSPR continues to trade below all four major exponential moving averages (20, 50, 100, and 200-day). The 20-day EMA near $0.00171 represents the first important resistance level. A move above it would expose the 50-day EMA around $0.00194, while the 100-day EMA near $0.00231 remains a more significant medium-term hurdle.

Volume indicators offer early signs that buying interest is returning. On-Balance Volume (OBV) has begun to recover after a steep decline during July, indicating that buyers are absorbing selling pressure. The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) has recovered to around 43 after falling close to oversold territory below 30, suggesting bearish momentum has eased. Meanwhile, the 14-day Average Directional Index (ADX) has fallen to roughly 25 after remaining above 30 for much of June and July, indicating that the strength of the previous downtrend is fading.

For context, similar patterns have been observed in other assets. For instance, HYPE's recovery stalled below $60, highlighting the challenge of sustaining upward momentum. Additionally, XRP's consolidation below key EMAs shows how geopolitical risks can cap recovery momentum.

Despite these positive signals, none independently confirm a new long-term uptrend. CSPR still trades beneath every major daily EMA. For bullish momentum to strengthen, buyers would likely need to push the token above the 20-day EMA before challenging the 50-day EMA. Breaking those resistance levels while volume continues expanding would provide stronger technical confirmation that accumulation is replacing the prolonged downtrend. Until then, the current rally appears to represent an early recovery attempt.
