CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) edged up approximately 1.1% in Tuesday trading following a pair of bullish analyst calls that underscored the cybersecurity firm's strategic positioning in the emerging agentic artificial intelligence market.

Loop Capital initiated coverage on the cybersecurity company with a Buy rating and a $230 price target, implying roughly 27% upside from Monday's close. Analyst Yun Kim argued that CrowdStrike is uniquely positioned to capitalize on growing demand for cybersecurity solutions tailored to the agentic AI era, where autonomous systems require robust protection.

SoftBank Stock Hits 8-Month Low as AI Trade Unwinds and Portfolio Pressures Mount
SoftBank stock has plunged to its lowest since April, down nearly 50% from its peak, as the AI trade unwinds and portfolio companies like Arm and OpenAI struggle.

“CRWD is simply the best-positioned cybersecurity vendor in the emerging agentic AI era, which will likely reach an inflection point in the enterprise adoption curve some time in the next few years,” Kim wrote in a research note. He highlighted the company's security information and event management (SIEM) technology and security operations capabilities as key advantages as enterprises prepare for AI-driven threats.

Kim also pointed to CrowdStrike's sales organization as a competitive strength, noting that the team balances customers' immediate security needs with long-term planning. The analyst described the current environment as an “unprecedented” opportunity for the company, driven by the so-called “Mythos scare” that is accelerating cybersecurity AI platform deployments across organizations.

“The recent Hugging Face incident, where an OpenAI model broke free of their training environment, is a reminder of the power and sophistication of automated, AI agent-driven attacks leveraging LLM technology, generating a greater urgency in the market and further accelerating the timeline for when the inflection point occurs,” Kim added.

Cantor Fitzgerald also maintained its Overweight rating on CrowdStrike with a $725 price target, citing the Hugging Face security incident as evidence of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The brokerage noted that Hugging Face reported no public models or datasets were compromised, and the company used its own AI tools to detect and contain the intrusion. The attack generated around 17,000 actions across short-lived sandboxes using a self-migrating command-and-control channel.

Cantor Fitzgerald argued that security tools monitoring only a single endpoint or network segment would struggle to detect such attacks. The firm expects organizations to increase spending on security platforms that provide broad telemetry as agentic AI frameworks reduce the cost and complexity of multi-stage cyberattacks.

CrowdStrike shares experienced significant volatility earlier this year, falling as much as 25% in early 2026 amid concerns that AI advances could disrupt traditional cybersecurity business models. However, sentiment has since reversed, with the stock climbing more than 53% year-to-date and more than doubling from its late-February lows. Investors increasingly view AI as a catalyst for cybersecurity demand rather than a threat.

For context, other tech stocks have also seen analyst upgrades recently. For instance, Nvidia stock below $200 has drawn analyst attention with a flagged 40% upside on AI demand, while Apple stock rose 3% after Baird lifted its target ahead of earnings. Meanwhile, GM shares jumped 3% following a Jefferies upgrade with a $99 target.
