Cancore, a platform that connects tokenized assets on the Canton network with liquidity from public blockchains, has secured $7.2 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Paper Ventures, with participation from dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.
Since going live on Canton mainnet in April 2026, Cancore has operated as both a validator and a Featured App. According to company data, as of October 1, the platform has processed over $53.2 million in cumulative trading volume across more than 84,000 trades, generating over $538,000 in protocol revenue.
The company is building infrastructure to bridge Canton-native assets, including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), with liquidity available on public blockchain networks. This approach aims to expand the reach of institutional-grade assets into broader market liquidity pools.
Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream, commented on the investment: "Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity. Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We're pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype."
Cancore describes its platform as a "Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance," designed to enable asset execution and liquidity access across different blockchain ecosystems. The platform uses atomic settlement to execute transactions between Canton and supported public chains, ensuring that trades either complete fully or fail without partial execution.
Users maintain control of their private keys through Cancore's self-custody wallet, and swaps are designed to settle across both networks or be refunded if unsuccessful. This security model is intended to meet institutional standards.
Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore, highlighted the next phase: "Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step. We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf."
The platform already supports automated execution through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing users to automate actions and delegate tasks to AI systems. Future plans include enabling users to build and deploy their own trading agents for strategy execution, portfolio rebalancing, capital allocation, and liquidity interaction.
Alongside agentic trading infrastructure, Cancore intends to add more real-world assets and liquidity to Canton. The broader goal is to create a single execution layer where trading agents can interact with Canton-native assets, tokenized RWAs, and public-chain liquidity.
The new funding will be used to connect additional blockchain networks and liquidity sources, as well as to continue developing agentic trading, security, and settlement infrastructure. Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures, noted: "In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage. Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today. Cancore is building it to the security standard institutions expect, and we think this team is well placed to define how tokenized capital moves across networks."
Cancore currently supports connectivity across Canton, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks, and Tron.
