Bitget has significantly expanded its Proof of Reserves (PoR) program, now covering 19 major cryptocurrencies compared to just four previously. This move broadens the scope of assets that users can independently verify, aligning with the exchange's commitment to transparency as its ecosystem diversifies.
The upgraded PoR now includes BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, LINK, XRP, USDC, DOGE, BNB, SOL, ADA, NEAR, XAUT, TAO, SUI, ONDO, HYPE, PI, and USDGO. Both platform-level reserve disclosures and personal Proof of Assets verification have been extended across this expanded range, allowing users to check the reserve ratio and asset distribution for each supported cryptocurrency.
Since launching its PoR reports in December 2022, Bitget has published monthly updates. As of August 2026, the exchange has released 45 consecutive reports, with the latest showing a total reserve ratio of 122%, comfortably above the 1:1 standard. This consistent reporting underscores Bitget's dedication to maintaining user trust through verifiable financial data.
Using Merkle Tree technology, Bitget aggregates user assets into cryptographic snapshots. Users can independently confirm whether their holdings are included in a specific PoR report by downloading the relevant data and applying publicly available verification methods. This process empowers users to validate the exchange's claims without relying solely on its word.
“Users shouldn’t have to simply take our word for it, they should be able to verify their assets for themselves,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “Proof of Reserves has been part of Bitget's transparency framework for nearly four years, and as the assets people hold on our platform become more diverse, that verification needs to expand with them. Expanding from four assets to 19 gives more users that visibility.”
The expansion comes as Bitget continues to broaden its offerings, including non-crypto trading volumes and CFD trading via API, which integrate traditional markets into its platform. As the range of supported assets grows, the need for robust reserve verification becomes more critical.
For assets not covered in a particular audit or where personal records haven't been generated yet, Bitget's Proof of Assets interface provides clear notices to help users interpret their audit results accurately. This ensures that even those with holdings outside the verified scope can understand the limitations of the verification process.
Bitget's broader security infrastructure, including the Protection Fund and its PoR program, aims to make security increasingly measurable and verifiable as the ecosystem expands. The exchange's Protection Fund averaged $382 million in August, further reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding user assets.
This expansion is part of Bitget's ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and user confidence. By extending PoR coverage to 19 assets, the exchange is setting a higher standard for reserve verification in the crypto industry, allowing more users to independently confirm the backing of their holdings.
