Gate, a major cryptocurrency exchange, has officially launched Gate Money, a comprehensive financial platform that unifies digital assets, equities, payments, and asset management under a single account. The announcement was made by Dr. Han, Gate's Founder and CEO, during his keynote at the TOKEN2049 conference on October 7.

Gate Money is built around the philosophy of "One Gate, Everything Money," aiming to provide a globally integrated financial experience. By connecting various financial services, it allows users to hold, receive, transfer, pay, exchange, and earn yield on their assets from one interface. This marks Gate's expansion from a pure digital asset trading venue into a broader financial services provider.

Users can activate Gate Money by updating their Gate App to version 8.39.0. The platform supports multiple fiat currencies and digital assets, offering a consolidated view of balances and transactions. It enables fiat deposits and withdrawals, as well as on-chain transfers. In certain regions, eligible users can upgrade to obtain a linked bank account, facilitating everyday and cross-border fund movements.

Gate Money also integrates traditional financial assets, such as stocks, into the same account structure. This centralization simplifies asset and fund management for users holding diverse portfolios. The platform's payment capabilities are enhanced through Gate Card, which supports online and offline purchases using fiat or crypto, including integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay. In some markets, ATM withdrawals and local QR-code payments are available.

Beyond holding and spending, Gate Money offers Convert and Earn features. Convert allows seamless asset exchanges, while Earn provides wealth management products. For example, eligible USDT balances can earn up to 3.6% without a lock-up period, giving users flexibility to earn on idle assets while maintaining liquidity.

The platform's global compliance framework is a key differentiator. Gate has obtained a MiCA Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license and a PSD2 Payment Institution license in Malta, a full Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from VARA in Dubai, and is registered with AUSTRAC in Australia. These licenses, along with operations in 81 regulated jurisdictions, provide a solid foundation for multi-asset services and payment flows.

Gate has also established partnerships with international payment institutions, banks, custody providers, and clearing houses, supporting business operations across different markets. This infrastructure enables Gate Money to connect asset management, fund transfers, and everyday spending seamlessly.

As digital assets become increasingly integrated with traditional finance, Gate Money positions itself as a one-stop solution for users' financial needs. The platform's expansion into payments and asset management could attract a broader user base seeking convenience and flexibility.
