Bitget has expanded its Contracts for Difference (CFD) offering with the introduction of eight new instruments spanning industrial metals, energy, and global equity indices. The move is part of the exchange's broader strategy to diversify beyond cryptocurrency trading and cater to growing investor interest in traditional financial markets.
New Instruments and Market Coverage
The newly listed contracts include Aluminium (XALUSD), Zinc (XZNUSD), Lead (XPBUSD), and Low Sulphur Gasoil (GASOIL). These are complemented by four regional equity indices: the Hang Seng TECH Index (HSTECH), Taiwan RIC Index (TWRICC), Netherlands 25 Index (NETH25), and Switzerland 20 Index (SWI20). This selection provides traders with exposure to key industrial commodities and benchmark indices across Asia and Europe.
According to Bitget, the additions are designed to enable traders to take positions based on regional economic developments and broader market trends. The timing aligns with ongoing shifts in global monetary policies and industrial demand patterns.
Leverage and Account Flexibility
The three industrial metals and Low Sulphur Gasoil contracts offer leverage of up to 20x, while the four equity indices support leverage of up to 50x. Traders can take both long and short positions, providing flexibility to respond to price movements across different asset classes.
All eight instruments are available across Bitget CFD's four account modes: ECN, 0% Fee, Pro, and Standard+. This allows users to select their preferred trading structure while maintaining consistent product configurations.
Strategic Expansion Under UEX
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized that the expansion reflects a broader demand for diversified trading options. "Crypto is only one part of what people want to trade today. We're seeing growing interest in commodities, stocks and indices, and our platform needs to reflect that," she said. "These eight additions give traders more ways to respond to what's happening across global markets. That's the direction we're taking with UEX, bringing more assets and trading opportunities together on Bitget."
The launch is part of Bitget's Universal Exchange (UEX) strategy, which aims to integrate traditional financial instruments with its existing crypto and tokenized asset products. The company has been steadily expanding its CFD portfolio to offer a more comprehensive trading ecosystem.
Liquidity and Stability Checks
Before listing, each instrument underwent liquidity assessments and price stability checks. This is intended to support Bitget's focus on maintaining consistent trading conditions across its expanding product range.
The new contracts are integrated into Bitget's existing CFD infrastructure, ensuring seamless execution and risk management for traders.
This development comes as global markets respond to shifting monetary policies, industrial demand, and regional economic developments. By adding these instruments, Bitget aims to provide traders with additional avenues to capitalize on macroeconomic trends.
