Trade Nation has reached an agreement to acquire the UK client book of Stratos Markets Limited, which operates under the FXCM and Tradu brands in the United Kingdom. The move is part of Trade Nation's strategy to bolster its footprint in the domestic spread betting and contracts for difference (CFD) market.
The transfer is scheduled for completion in late November 2026, following a transition plan jointly developed by both firms. The companies emphasized that the process prioritizes client protection, continuity, and the interests of traders.
Trade Nation described the incoming clients as a community of experienced traders, aligning with its focus on serving sophisticated market participants. The firm plans to integrate these clients into its existing platform, which offers competitive pricing and a range of trading tools.
Transition Plan and Client Support
Trade Nation and FXCM have collaborated on a transfer process designed to provide clarity and minimize disruption for affected clients. Jon Noble, CEO of Trade Nation, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming FXCM's UK clients, noting that they fit the company's target demographic.
“We are delighted to welcome them, and from day one they should expect what our clients already value: very competitive pricing, a range of platforms you already know, and real people when you need them,” Noble said. He added that the acquisition represents a significant milestone for Trade Nation and hinted at further developments ahead.
Clients affected by the transfer can find detailed information on Trade Nation's website, which outlines the steps they need to take and what to expect during the transition.
Expanding UK Presence
Trade Nation has built its business around spread betting and CFDs, combining a specialist model with ongoing investment in its trading platform, pricing, and customer support. The addition of FXCM's UK clients is expected to extend this model to a larger community of experienced traders while strengthening Trade Nation's presence in its home market.
Throughout 2026, the company has continued to invest in its trading infrastructure, focusing on delivering a straightforward and transparent trading experience. Trade Nation was named Best Forex and CFD Broker UK at the TradingView Broker Awards 2025, underscoring its reputation in the industry.
Stratos' Perspective
Brendan Callan, CEO of Stratos Group, which operates Tradu and FXCM, said the company's priority was finding a suitable destination for its UK clients. “Trade Nation stood out for its platforms and its service culture, and we are confident our clients will be well looked after,” Callan said.
The planned transfer will move FXCM's UK client book to Trade Nation, with completion expected in late November 2026. Both firms have developed the transition plan with an emphasis on maintaining continuity and protecting clients throughout the process.
This acquisition is part of a broader trend of consolidation in the online trading sector, as firms seek to scale and specialize. For Trade Nation, the deal not only expands its client base but also reinforces its commitment to the UK market.
