The cryptocurrency market has faced renewed pressure in recent sessions, with Bitcoin dropping to $83,000 and the aggregate value of all digital assets slipping to $2.8 trillion. Yet a trio of tokens — Starknet (STRK), Celestia (TIA), and Aerodrome Finance (AERO) — have bucked the downtrend, drawing attention from traders scanning for relative strength.
Starknet (STRK): Parabolic Move on Layer-1 Ambitions
Starknet's token has staged a dramatic advance, climbing to an intraday peak of $0.1200 — its strongest level since December of last year. From its 2025 low, STRK has appreciated by more than 400%. The rally stands out because it is occurring against a backdrop of weakening on-chain metrics. The network's stablecoin supply has contracted to $152 million, down from $346 million a month earlier, while total value locked has fallen to $152 million from a year-to-date high above $322 million.
Token unlocks are also adding to supply. Roughly 163 million STRK, valued near $17.6 million, are scheduled to enter circulation this week. According to market observers, the primary catalyst behind the price surge is the project's exploration of a transition from a layer-2 scaling solution to an independent layer-1 network.
On the daily chart, STRK has rebounded from an August low of $0.02218 to as high as $0.1230, pushing above all major moving averages — a signal that bullish momentum has taken hold. However, the Relative Strength Index has reached 86.20, its most overbought reading of the year. Such extremes often precede a pullback, and traders are watching the $0.063 area — the May 9 swing high — as a potential support level if profit-taking accelerates.
Aerodrome Finance (AERO): Steady Climb on DEX Volume
Aerodrome Finance's AERO token has quietly become one of the top performers in the sector, rising from a February low of $0.2733 to around $0.942. Unlike Starknet's sharp spike, AERO's ascent has been gradual, with buyers consistently stepping in on dips. The token's strength tracks the steady activity of Aerodrome's decentralized exchange, which processed more than $13.8 billion in volume last month, up from $12.8 billion the prior month. Third-quarter revenue exceeded $38 billion.
Technically, AERO has broken above the $0.9272 resistance level — its September 26 high — invalidating a double-top pattern that had threatened a bearish reversal. The price remains above both its 50-day moving average and the Supertrend indicator. If the uptrend persists, the next target is the psychological $1 mark.
Celestia (TIA): Breakout and a Potential Golden Cross
Celestia's token has broken out of a months-long consolidation range bounded by $0.2700 support and $0.4847 resistance. The move above the upper boundary has put TIA on track to form a golden cross, a bullish technical pattern that occurs when the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average.
If the breakout holds, the next level to watch is the psychological $1 threshold, roughly 65% above the current price. A decline back below $0.4847 would negate the bullish setup. The project's recent acquisition of Sovereign Labs, aimed at enabling high-performance custom blockchains, may be contributing to improved sentiment.
Market Context
The divergent performance of these tokens highlights a market where capital is rotating into specific narratives even as the broader asset class cools. Bitcoin's slide to $83,000 and the $2.8 trillion total market cap reflect macro uncertainty, but traders appear willing to reward projects with clear catalysts — whether a layer-1 pivot, robust DEX fundamentals, or a technical breakout.
