SanDisk shares have spent recent weeks moving sideways, cooling off after a strong run earlier in the year. The stock is trading near $1,730, roughly 8.6% under this month's peak of $1,893. That pause has carved out an ascending triangle on the daily chart, a formation that frequently resolves with an upward breakout when buyers manage to push through resistance.

What the chart is signaling

The daily chart shows SNDK reaching $2,355 in June before retreating to $993 in July. The subsequent recovery ran into a ceiling at $1,893, and the converging trendlines now define the triangle. The pattern's height is approximately $900, measured from the lower boundary to the upper boundary. Adding that distance to the upper line produces a potential target near $2,793. A move above the all-time high of $2,355 would reinforce that scenario.

Momentum indicators add to the constructive picture. The stock has held above all of its moving averages as well as the Supertrend indicator, suggesting that the broader trend remains intact even during the consolidation.

Fundamentals are accelerating

The more important driver may be the company's operating performance. In its most recent report, revenue climbed 372% year over year to $8.9 billion. Data center revenue surged 1,298%, while the edge business grew 392%. Management raised forward guidance, pointing to sustained product demand and large contracts with major U.S. companies.

Analysts expect the next earnings release to show revenue of $10.68 billion, up 362%. The following quarter is projected at $12.2 billion, a 304% increase, which would bring annual revenue to $48 billion and then $58 billion. Profitability is forecast to expand sharply as well: quarterly earnings per share is seen rising from $1.22 to $46.18, while annual EPS is expected to climb from $70 to $213 this year.

Valuation and analyst targets

Despite that growth, the shares screen as inexpensive. The forward price-to-earnings ratio sits at 8, well below the technology sector median of 23.20 and below peers such as Micron, Kioxia, and Samsung Electronics.

Wall Street remains bullish. Cantor Fitzgerald has a $2,900 target, Wedbush sees $2,000, and Mizuho projects $1,875. Rosenblatt's Kevin Cassidy raised his target to $2,400. These analysts highlight the company's long-term contracts with top customers, which set floor and ceiling prices for its chips and help insulate results from the memory industry's historical boom-and-bust cycles.

Key levels to watch

  • Resistance: $1,893, the upper boundary of the triangle
  • Confirmation level: $2,355, the all-time high
  • Pattern target: $2,793
  • Support: the rising lower trendline and key moving averages

For now, the setup hinges on whether buyers can force a close above resistance. A confirmed breakout would put the measured move in play, while a failure to hold the lower boundary would weaken the bullish case.
