MEXC, a digital asset trading platform known for zero-fee trading, has published its October 2026 Proof of Reserves (PoR) report. The audit, conducted by independent blockchain security firm Hacken, confirms that the exchange holds sufficient assets to cover all user balances across major cryptocurrencies.

According to the report, MEXC's reserve ratios are 294% for Bitcoin (BTC), 122% for Tether (USDT), 115% for USD Coin (USDC), and 111% for Ethereum (ETH). All four ratios exceed the 100% benchmark, with BTC showing the largest surplus.

XRP Holds $1.32 Support After PPI Shock; $1.45 Breakout Key
XRP recovered above $1.32 after a hot PPI report triggered a selloff. Weak ETF inflows and resistance at $1.45 keep the recovery fragile.

The PoR framework combines user-level verification, on-chain transparency, and third-party audits. Using Merkle Tree technology, users can independently confirm that their account balances are included in the platform's reported liabilities while maintaining privacy. MEXC also discloses its custodial wallet addresses for external verification.

Hacken conducts monthly audits covering Proof of Liabilities, Proof of Ownership, Reserves Calculation, and Merkle-tree verification. This regular oversight aims to reinforce user trust through transparency.

Beyond the PoR report, MEXC continues to enhance its security infrastructure. The platform employs cold and hot wallet management with multi-signature authorization and layered risk controls. The Futures Insurance Fund provides a buffer against losses exceeding user margins during extreme market conditions.

The Guardian Fund, designed to protect users from serious security incidents such as large-scale exploits or system vulnerabilities, has been bolstered. In September, MEXC added 1,000 BTC to the fund, following an initial allocation in May. The fund now holds over 100 million USDT and 2,000 BTC, with a target to expand to $500 million within two years.

Recent attacks across the digital asset industry highlight that security threats are evolving. MEXC's continued investment in capital reserves, technology, and risk management reflects its commitment to user protection.
