KuCoin Pay, the cryptocurrency payment arm of the KuCoin exchange, has introduced KuCoin Gift Card, a new solution aimed at simplifying how businesses distribute digital assets. The product allows companies to send stablecoins such as USDT and USDC to customers, employees, and community members through digital gift cards, according to a company announcement.
The platform is designed for a range of corporate use cases, including customer rewards, promotional campaigns, employee incentives, and community engagement. It supports bulk issuance and API integration, enabling businesses to automate the distribution process and incorporate it into existing workflows.
Recipients can redeem the gift cards through KuCoin to receive the corresponding digital assets. Once claimed, users can hold, transfer, or use the funds across supported services within the KuCoin ecosystem, which the company says adds utility beyond simple redemption.
“The next phase of crypto adoption will be driven not only by how people trade digital assets, but by how easily they can exchange and use them in everyday economic activity,” said Alicia Kao, Managing Director of KuCoin. “KuCoin Gift Card transforms crypto distribution into a simple, scalable experience for businesses while connecting every transfer to broader utility across the KuCoin ecosystem.”
The launch expands KuCoin Pay's role as payment and distribution infrastructure for digital assets. The company highlighted that stablecoin usage in global commerce is growing, and this tool is intended to help businesses distribute these assets more efficiently.
KuCoin Gift Card is part of a broader trend of crypto payment solutions targeting business adoption. For instance, BingX recently introduced a Visa debit card for crypto spending, while KuCoin's Web3 wallet has integrated Robinhood Chain for tokenized asset access. These developments reflect a growing focus on making digital assets more practical for everyday transactions.
The company also noted that businesses can use bulk issuance and API integration to incorporate digital asset distribution into customer acquisition, loyalty programs, and employee rewards. This positions the gift card as a versatile tool for companies looking to engage with crypto-savvy audiences.
KuCoin's move comes as stablecoins continue to gain traction in cross-border payments and corporate treasuries. By offering a streamlined distribution mechanism, KuCoin aims to reduce operational complexity for businesses while expanding the utility of its ecosystem.
