Bubblemaps, a blockchain analytics firm, has rolled out a significant platform update centered on memecoin research and insider-activity detection. The new token feed pre-screens digital assets for signs of coordinated buying or wallet clustering before they appear to users, aiming to surface potential red flags earlier in the discovery process.

The feed identifies two key onchain patterns: bundles and clusters. A bundle occurs when multiple wallets purchase a token within the same block or within seconds of its launch, which the company says may indicate sniping bots or a project team coordinating buys. A cluster refers to wallets linked through shared funding sources or transfer patterns, potentially suggesting that a single entity controls multiple addresses.

Strategy's Smallest 2026 Bitcoin Buy: 250 BTC at $86,194 as MSTR Slips
Strategy bought only 250 BTC last week, its smallest purchase of 2026, at an average of $86,194 per coin. MSTR slipped as Bitcoin traded near $82,788.

According to Bubblemaps, these signals have historically been used by traders to analyze tokens after they have already gained attention. The new feed applies the same detection tools during the discovery phase, allowing users to evaluate insider concentration before committing capital. The company also introduced a Bubblemaps score for each token, providing a quick visual gauge of insider risk without requiring a full bubble map review.

In addition to screening, the platform now includes an integrated swap feature, enabling users to trade tokens directly from the research interface. This move consolidates the research-to-trade workflow, reducing the need to switch between multiple platforms.

“People have been using Bubblemaps for years to understand tokens before they buy. Now we’re taking the next step: helping them discover tokens, analyze them, and trade them directly from the same platform,” said Nicolas Vaiman, CEO and co-founder of Bubblemaps.

The update arrives amid heightened scrutiny of memecoin launches, which have faced criticism for concentrated ownership and potential rug-pull schemes. Bubblemaps has previously used its analytics to examine major memecoin distributions, including claims of insider control. The new feed extends that analysis to the pre-trade stage, giving investors a tool to assess these risks in real time.

The platform's move aligns with broader trends in crypto analytics, where tools like AI-driven memecoin trading agents are gaining traction. However, Bubblemaps focuses on transparency rather than automation, emphasizing data-driven insights over execution speed.

While the feed is designed to flag potential insider activity, it does not guarantee that all risky tokens are filtered out. The company notes that its signals are indicators, not definitive proof of malicious intent. Investors are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence beyond the platform's metrics.

The launch also comes as hybrid approaches to memecoin trading are being explored, but Bubblemaps' update focuses on research rather than automated trading. The company's integrated swap feature, however, could appeal to traders looking for a seamless transition from analysis to execution.

Bubblemaps' expansion into token discovery and trading reflects a broader push among analytics platforms to offer end-to-end solutions. As the memecoin market continues to evolve, tools that provide early warnings about insider activity may become increasingly valuable for retail and institutional participants alike.
