Bitget has expanded its CFD offering with the launch of a demo account, providing traders with a simulated environment to practice trading across multiple asset classes without risking real capital. The account is activated immediately after agreeing to Bitget's CFD terms, with no additional KYC or KYB steps required.
The demo account is preloaded with 10,000 USDT in virtual funds and is accessible via both the Bitget App and website. Users can adjust the virtual balance at any time, allowing them to simulate different capital sizes and test how their strategies would perform under varying conditions.
All positions in the demo account run against live market quotes, meaning that leverage, spreads, and price movements closely mirror the real trading environment. This allows traders to familiarize themselves with key CFD concepts such as market quotes, spreads, overnight financing, leverage, margin requirements, and risk management.
The demo account supports both Electronic Communication Network (ECN) and 0-Fee trading modes, giving users the opportunity to explore different fee structures and their impact on trading outcomes. For more experienced traders, API integration is available, enabling them to test automated strategies before deploying them in live markets.
Bitget's demo account sits alongside its live CFD trading environment, and users can switch between the two with a single tap. This seamless transition allows strategies to be migrated and tested with minimal friction, while live positions remain unaffected.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized the importance of understanding trading mechanics beyond price movements. “The Demo Account runs on the same quotes, leverage rules and liquidation logic as live trading, so traders can learn how CFDs and risk management work with none of their capital at stake,” she said.
The launch follows a series of enhancements to Bitget's CFD infrastructure this year, including dynamic leverage, tiered margin management, CFD sub-accounts, and the extension of Bitget's Open API to CFD markets. These developments are part of the platform's Universal Exchange offering, which aims to provide users with both crypto and traditional financial exposure in a single account.
By offering a risk-free testing environment, Bitget is positioning itself as a comprehensive platform for traders looking to diversify into traditional markets. The demo account is particularly valuable for newcomers who need to learn the ropes without financial risk, as well as for seasoned traders who want to refine their strategies.
