Bitget has expanded its CFD offering with the launch of Sub-Accounts, a feature designed for professional traders, proprietary trading teams, and high-net-worth individuals who run multiple strategies simultaneously. The new tool allows users to create up to five independent MT5 accounts under a single main account, each with its own positions and execution logic.

The Sub-Accounts feature addresses a common challenge in multi-strategy trading: keeping different strategies separate within the same account can lead to confusion over positions, margin usage, and performance. By assigning each strategy to its own MT5 account, traders can maintain clear separation while still managing everything from one central dashboard.

Each sub-account receives its own MT5 ID, and users can set them up without repeating KYC verification, as they inherit the main account's compliance and risk-control status. This streamlines the onboarding process, allowing traders to quickly build an account structure tailored to their strategies.

The main account acts as the central control point, offering a consolidated view of real-time equity, margin ratios, and order histories across all linked sub-accounts. Password management is also centralized, with the main account able to reset both trading and read-only passwords for its sub-accounts. Margin calls and liquidation alerts are sent to the email and app notifications associated with the relevant sub-account, enabling teams to respond directly to account-specific risk events.

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, highlighted the operational benefits: “Professional traders often run several strategies at the same time, and managing all of them can get complicated very quickly. Sub-Accounts enable users to keep those strategies separate while managing them from one place. As we expand Bitget's CFD offering, we want to make it easier for professional traders to manage more complex setups without adding more operational friction.”

The launch is part of Bitget's broader Universal Exchange strategy, which aims to integrate traditional financial products with digital asset trading. The exchange has been actively expanding its CFD infrastructure, and this feature builds on its recent introduction of fixed coupon notes for tokenized US equities. By combining independent MT5 environments with centralized management, Sub-Accounts give users greater control over how different strategies and positions are organized.

For traders using Expert Advisors (EAs) and automated models, the ability to isolate strategies is particularly valuable. Different time horizons and risk profiles can now be managed without interference, reducing the risk of cross-contamination between strategies. The feature also supports team-based operations, where multiple traders can work on separate sub-accounts while the main account holder retains oversight.

Bitget's move comes as the broader trading landscape sees increased demand for multi-asset and multi-strategy tools. The exchange's expansion into traditional financial markets, including its recent UAE licence for spot crypto trading, reflects a trend toward integrated platforms. While the crypto market remains volatile, Bitget's focus on professional-grade infrastructure may appeal to institutional and sophisticated retail traders.

As with any trading feature, users should be aware of the risks involved in CFD trading, which carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The Sub-Accounts feature is designed to improve operational efficiency, but it does not eliminate the inherent risks of leveraged trading.
