The Best Event, the production company behind more than 130 events across 24 cities, is set to host AFTERDARK at Singapore's Capitol Theatre on October 5. The standalone night is scheduled to coincide with Token2049 and the Singapore Grand Prix, creating a concentrated week of industry activity.
German electro-house producer Tujamo is confirmed on the lineup, with a headliner announcement expected in the coming weeks. Additional artists will also be named. The venue has a capacity of 3,000, but The Best Event anticipates more than 5,000 registrations, meaning general admission entry is not guaranteed.
General admission is free, but entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. VIP tickets provide guaranteed access and include early entry. Tickets are available at luma.com/tbe-afterdark.
The event takes place ten minutes from Marina Bay Sands, and The Best Event is also running CoinFerenceX × The Best Event Singapore during the day on October 5 and 6, giving the city back-to-back marquee events during the industry's busiest week.
"AFTERDARK is where we're going all in," said Tobias Bauer, Co-Founder of The Best Event and General Partner at TBV. "We built this night from the ground up for the people who travel around the world and trust our events to meet the leaders of our industry — builders, investors, institutions, creators who are tired of the same formula and want a night that matches the scale of what they're building."
The evening begins with two hours of VIP-only networking, including a KOL Awards ceremony on the main stage, before doors open to general admission. The lineup so far includes Tujamo, known for collaborations with Steve Aoki, Chris Lake, and Plastik Funk, and Ariel Estrella, an Afro House DJ and producer with a following across Europe and Asia.
Capitol Theatre is a restored art deco landmark and one of the few venues in the region with a fully convertible, rotational seating system that can transform from a tiered theatre to an open dance floor in under eight minutes. It has hosted private performances by Ed Sheeran, Eric Prydz, Calum Scott, Tinashe, Yungblud, The Darkness, Passenger, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
The event is expected to draw a crowd of more than 5,000, with global press coverage. The Best Event has a track record of large-scale parties at venues like Marquee and E11even Miami, and this night is set to be one of the most talked-about of Token2049 week.
For context, the broader crypto event landscape is seeing increased activity, with WEEX returning as a platinum sponsor and focusing on AI trading. Meanwhile, market dynamics remain volatile, as seen in a token facing a potential 50% correction after a sharp rally. Investors attending such events should keep an eye on regulatory developments, such as the role of transfer agents in tokenized securities.
